Closing Bell: Sensex, Nifty end higher amid volatility; IT, pharma outshine

Indian benchmarks erased all the early session’s losses and ended on a positive note today with Nifty up +0.49% and Sensex up +0.52%. Except for metal, all other sectoral indices ended in green with pharma index gaining ~1.62%. RBL tanks ~18%.

Today Bank Nifty hit a 6-month low but we still maintain a positive outlook on the Indian Banking sector.
