Connecticut highway shut after tanker bursts in flames, damages bridge

A major highway linking New England with New York was shut on Thursday after a tanker truck filled with gasoline burst into flames in a three-vehicle crash on I-95 in southwest Connecticut. Meanwhile, schools in Norwalk city remained closed on Friday, and Mayor Harry Rilling urged local employers to consider allowing employees to work from home, as it was unsafe to allow traffic to pass underneath the bridge in either direction.
