Coronavirus: India registers 86,498 cases in 24 hours – lowest daily tally in over two months

India registers 86,498 new coronavirus cases, pushing the infection tally in the country to 2,89,96,473 since the pandemic broke out in January 2020. 

The coronavirus disease has now infected over 17.35 crore people and killed over 37.34 lakh in the world since the pandemic broke out in December 2019, according to Johns Hopkins University.
