Cote d'Ivoire consolidates lead in FIFA World Cup qualifiers

The Cote d'Ivoire national team consolidated its place after its 1-0 home victory in Korhogo against Gabon in the African qualifiers. The only goal of the game was scored in the 35th minute by midfielder Seko Fofana. Cote d'Ivoire continued to lead Group F with 9 points, followed by Gabon (6), putting itself in a favourable position to secure direct qualification to the finals of the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Canada, the United States and Mexico.
