Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced the weekend lockdown on Thursday and said,
On Wednesday, the state reported 4043 new cases of Covid-19 and 13 deaths. Indore, the worst-affected district in Madhya Pradesh, registered 866 cases in a day. Bhopal reported 618 cases, Jabalpur 269 and Gwalior 181.
