On March 25 last year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced a nationwide lockdown in view of the rising number of Covid-19 cases. Almost a year later, India is experiencing a renewed surge in infections with many states reportedly in the grip of a second wave. Starting from January last year, when the first case of Covid-19 was detected in India to administering over 32 lakh vaccine doses, the country has come a long way while dealing with the crisis.
