Covid cases in India likely to peak at 4-8 lakh in Jan-end, says IIT Prof

Omicron-driven Covid cases in New Delhi and Mumbai will peak in around 10 days towards the middle of January, said Professor Manindra Agarwal of IIT Kanpur.
He said that he doesn’t expect the third wave of Covid to linger on beyond March as was the case in northeastern parts of the country during the second wave.
