Delhi: Psychiatrist to check teacher assaulting kid

A 26-year-old teacher, who was arrested on Friday for allegedly attacking a student and throwing her off the balcony at an MCD-run school, has been sent to a three-day judicial custody. A city court directed the prison authorities to get her evaluated by a psychiatrist in the jail as well as at IHBAS. The Commission took suo-motu cognizance of the matter and directed the concerned authorities to inquire into the incident that took place on Friday.
