Delhi hospital fire tragedy: Owner sent to 14-day judicial custody

A Delhi court sent Dr Naveen Khichi, the owner of the Baby Care New Born Hospital, where seven children were killed in a massive fire, and a co-accused, to 14-day judicial custody. Police probe revealed that the licence issued to the hospital by the DGHS had expired on March 31. Also, doctors at the hospital were only BAMS degree holders and were not qualified to treat newborn babies, who needed neonatal intensive care.
