Diplomacy only way, says India as it abstains from voting at UN meet

India on Sunday abstained from voting on the United Nations Security Council resolution on holding a special emergency session of the body's General Assembly to discuss Russia's attack on Ukraine.

While explaining India's decision to abstain from voting on a proposal demanding that Russia halt its attack on Ukraine, Permanent Representative to the UN TS Tirumurti said: "There's no other choice but to return to the path of diplomacy."
