Domestic airport an 'attractive monopoly', Adani group eyes overseas expansion

India’s biggest airport operator, Adani Enterprises, said, airports in Africa and SouthEast Asia could be of special interest, since these geographies are “rapid economic growth and increased demand for air travel”. AEL has housed the airport business in a wholly owned subsidiary, Adani Airport Holdings. AEL already operates seven domestic airports and with Navi Mumbai expected to become operational by the end of the current fiscal year.
