Domestic violence tops plaints at help centre

Domestic violence continues to account for most of the complaints registered with the Sakhi One Stop Centre in Ernakulam. The centre that provides assistance to women in distress has registered over a thousand cases since its inception in 2019 and 90% of them were in connection with domestic violence. The centre registered 144 complaints in the past four months in the district and most of the complaints were against husbands.
