Drop in Iron Ore prices hits revenue collection

Official sources in the steel and mines department said revenue collection from the mining sector after the first six months of 2022-23 is pegged at Rs 19,382 crore against Rs 18,735 crore collected up to September last year.
The state government gets the revenue from the mining sector in the form of royalty which has started dipping since May.
