Drug regulator recommends Russia's Sputnik Light

Drugs Controller General of India's (DCGI) Subject Expert Committee (SEC), on Friday, recommended Russia's Sputnik Light one-shot COVID19 vaccine.

The manufacturers had approached DCGI for the approval of Sputnik Light as a precautionary vaccine. Dr Reddy's, the distributor of Sputnik vaccines in India, has approached DCGI for a number of other proposals including that of Sputnik Light as a standalone vaccine.
