E-com entities may face heavy penalty for posting fake reviews

The e-commerce entities may face heavy penalty for posting fake reviews of products, since the government is finalising guidelines to curb such practices.
The Department of Consumer Affairs has formed a committee, that would be finalising changes in the norms related to fake reviews, which were formulated by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) in 2021.
