Earth Hour 2021: How an hour of turning off non-essential lights goes a long way in planet’s conservation

Earth Hour, an initiate of the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), is observed annually on the last Saturday of the month of March. This year, the event will be commemorated on March 27.

It urges individuals, businesses, and governments across the world to switch off their non-essential lights and electrical appliances for one hour at 8:30 pm (local time).
