Edible oil shortage: V&E registers 300 cases against erring traders in Andhra

Several traders and supermarkets in Andhra Pradesh are selling Palmolein and other edible oils at high prices. According to the Vigilance and Enforcement officials, manufacturing units in the state are exploiting supply chain issues to increase edible oil prices.

V&E officials launched a major drive and inspected 521 shops, supermarkets, and manufacturing units. Hoarders were booked under section 6A of the EC Act.
