Rescue workers in Nepal confirmed the death of 38-year-old Nadezhda Oleneva on Mount Dhaulagiri, the world’s seventh-highest peak. Bad weather prevented her body from being recovered. Oleneva went missing on Saturday after she slipped and fell deep into a crevasse at an altitude of almost 6,000 metres. Russian Mountaineering Federation announced the end of the search and rescue operation after avalanches caused a change in the snow and ice terrain.
