FELUDA test to be rolled out in next few weeks says Health Minister

The FELUDA test developed by Tata CRISPR is likely to be rolled out in the next few weeks. FELUDA is a paper strip test. The test, touted to provide results in 45 minutes is priced at Rs 500.

FELUDA is an alternative to the quantitative RT-PCR tests and is highly specific. Unlike RT-PCR which requires expensive machines, FELUDA is simple and can be used in laboratories as well as outside with quicker turnaround time.
