The Income Tax department on Thursday has started conducting surveys at the Bengaluru offices of Swiggy and Instakart, the logistics arm of Flipkart. The I-T department surveys are in connection with an Input Tax Credit default, allegedly by a few third-party contracting firms, sources in the companies said.
Flipkart and Swiggy confirmed that the I-T department has been conducting surveys, but both companies said they were in full tax legal compliance.
