Future Apple AirPods may recognise their owners and fine-tune privacy settings

Apple has filed a new patent titled ‘User Identification Using Headphones’ with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (UPTO) describing how it may be able to identify AirPods owners and enhance their privacy.

Apple believes that anyone can wear AirPods that belong to someone else and while it is connected to someone else’s device it can result in releasing personal information such as Siri announcing notifications or calendar updates.
