Government Teachers Oppose Centralization Of Punjab university

Teachers and students have opposed the Union government's announcement that it would take over Panjab University of Chandigarh.  

Ludhiana president of democratic teachers front Davinder Singh Sidhu said, “Panjab University, couldn't be taken away from Punjabis even after the partition of the country and partition of Punjab. This university has so far remained the centre of 'intellect and culture' of the state..”
