Government warns users to report WhatsApp calls from +92 Numbers

The Ministry of Communications has warned smartphone users about WhatsApp calls from foreign-origin numbers. According to the Department of Telecom, these are fake calls aimed at stealing the personal information of individuals and carrying out financial fraud. The DoT said it does not authorise anyone to make such calls on its behalf and has advised people to stay vigilant and asked not to share any information on receiving such calls.
