GST collection in June up by 56% to Rs 1.44 lakh from last year

The Goods and Service Tax collection in June increased by 56% to over Rs 1.44 lakh crore compared to the same month last year, the Union finance ministry said on Friday. In June 2021, the collection stood at Rs 92,800 crore.
The ministry said it was the fifth time that the monthly GST collections crossed the Rs 1.40-lakh-crore mark since its inception in 2019.
