The Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) recent move (as on 11 July 2022) to allow international trade in INR is not sudden. It is, in fact, a well-planned and well-timed one!
This move could be the beginning of a new journey for INR – to become an international currency and gain the status of a global (reserve) currency.
