Heavy pre-Monsoon rain batters Kerala, red alert issued in two districts

A flood-like situation has been created in many parts of Kerala. As a low-pressure area has formed over the southeast Arabian Sea off the Kerala coast, under the influence of the cyclonic circulation over south Kerala, IMD predicted very heavy to extremely heavy rain in the state for the next two days. A red alert has been sounded in the districts of Ernakulam and Thrissur and an orange alert in the other eight districts.
