Himachal Pradesh: Landslide blocks National Highway 5 near Solan

National Highway 5 was blocked near Shamlech village on the Shimla-Kalka Road near Solan bypass, disrupting traffic. Stranded vehicles prompted the local police to redirect motorists through the old Barog route. Road clearance operations have commenced with excavators on site, ensuring prompt debris removal. In total, 259 roads, including five National Highways, were shut in Himachal Pradesh due to recent snow and rain.
