The International Cricket Council on Tuesday announced a host of changes to playing conditions which will come into effect from October 1 onwards. Among the most significant changes are a permanent ban on saliva to polish cricket balls and shifting the act of running out a non-striker by a bowler under lawful dismissals from unfair play.
The Chief Executives’ Committee (CEC) ratified the recommendations made by the ICC Cricket Committee led by former India captain and BCCI president Sourav Ganguly.
