IMD, in its 150th year of establishment, launches multiple initiatives

India Meteorological Department (IMD) launched a National Framework of Climate Services (NFCS) and multiple other initiatives to protect the country’s critical sectors through science-based climate monitoring and prediction of climate hazards and extreme weather events. The framework provides a sustainable platform for users to get timely and targeted exchange of climate information leading to significant improvement in the delivery of climate services.
