Incontinence in women might point to future disability: Research

Researchers considered the amount and frequency of the incontinence and whether the study participant had stress incontinence, urge incontinence, or both. Researchers then measured disability by the World Health Organisation disability assessment scale as the outcome of interest. Some women will leak urine when they sneeze or cough, which is called stress incontinence. Others suffer from urge incontinence, which is an overwhelming urge to urinate.
