India’s LPG cost highest in world, petrol 3rd, diesel 8th

The per litre cost of Liquified Petroleum Gas ( LPG ) is the highest in our country when it comes to the purchasing power of currencies in their domestic market. On similar terms, petrol price in India is the 3rd-highest while diesel is the 8th most expensive globally.

This is because of the fact that price comparisons at the nominal exchange rate do not show that different currencies have different purchasing powers in their own markets.
