India's COVID-19 tally rise to 46 lakh after 97,570 new cases in 24 hours

The country's recovery rate is 77.65 percent while the percentage of active cases stands at 20.7 percent.

With the highest spike in new cases in the last 24 hours - the national coronavirus cases tally has gone beyond the 46 lakh mark. Maharashtra continues to be the worst affected state from the infection while Andhra Pradesh in the second position.
