India logs 174 Covid cases in a day, active caseload declines by 52

India’s tally of COVID-19 cases rose by 174 in a day while the active caseload declined to 2,257, according to Union Health Ministry data. The daily positivity was recorded at 0.09 per cent while the weekly positivity rate was 0.10 per cent. India’s active caseload declined by 52 in a day and now comprises 0.01 per cent of the total infections. India’s COVID-19 case tally crossed the 20-lakh mark on August 7, 2020, 30 lakh on August 23, 40 lakh on September 5 and 50 lakh on September 16.
