India preparing whitelist of legal loan and finance apps

On Friday, the Finance ministry expressed concerns over the increasing number of illegal loan apps on the Google Play store and Apple app store.
The ministry announced that the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) will prepare a “whitelist” of all legal apps and the IT ministry will ensure that only the ones on the whitelist are available on the Google Play store and Apple App store.
