India has said that it is keeping with the nation's commitment to using the vaccine production and delivery capacity to help humanity fight the COVID-19 pandemic. The first tranche will leave on January 20 and is being gifted to six neighbours--Nepal, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Bhutan, Maldives, and Seychelles. Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted the announcement as well.

When it comes to Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Mauritius, India is still awaiting their confirmation of necessary regulatory clearances.
