Kerala high court issues norms for testimony in Pocso cases

An accused in a crime against a child should be removed from the courtroom if the child refuses or shows inhibition to give testimony in the presence of the accused, the Kerala High Court has directed.
Issuing guidelines to ensure fearless testimonies by children and survivors of sexual assaults, the high court also directed that they should be allowed to testify from waiting rooms with audio-video connectivity adjacent to the courtroom so that they don't have to face the accused.
