Maharashtra: Man drives into dam after following Google Maps, drowns to death

Using Google Maps to find locations is common nowadays, but blindly following the directions on the maps could be fatal. One such incident took place in Ahmednagar's Akole town, where a 34-year-old man drowned after driving his vehicle into a dam, while on Google Maps.

While driving towards Kalsubai, they lost their way and sought guidance from Google Maps. Google showed them the nearest road from Kotul to Akole, however, it took them directly into a dam.
