The Maharashtra government has revised quarantine measures for passengers arriving from three 'high-risk' countries - South Africa, Zimbabwe and Botswana. Passengers from these countries are required to undergo a mandatory RT-PCR test immediately on arrival, as well asĀ a seven-day institutional quarantine.

The order stated that the categorisation as 'high-risk' countries is a dynamic exercise based on the evolving situation of the Omicron variant.
