Maharashtra is the richest with a GSDP of over Rs. 31 trillion. Tamil Nadu is second with a GSDP of Rs. 20 trillion, due to its manufacturing sector. Gujarat, 3rd richest, has a GSDP of Rs 20 trillion due to its immense coastline, international trade, petrochemical, and pharmaceutical sectors. Uttar Pradesh, known for its agriculture sectors and food grain production, is fourth with a GSDP of Rs 19.7 trillion. Karnataka is fifth, West Bengal sixth and Rajasthan stands seventh.
