Man, mother-in-law sentenced to 27 years RI for sexually abusing minor girl

A Fast Track Special Court in Thrissur sentenced Mulayam native Arun (32) and Mandamangalam native Sharmila (48), his mother-in-law, to 27 years rigorous imprisonment and slapped a fine of Rs 2 lakh for sexually abusing a minor girl after making her consume alcohol. On failing to pay the fine, they will have to spend another three months in jail. As per Mannuthy police station, Arun sexually abused the girl with the aid of Sharmila.
