Marked drop in SSLC pass percentage this year at 73.40 pc

Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) announced the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) examination results. Last year's pass percentage was 83.89 pc. 6,31,204 passed the examination which included 2,87,416 boys (65.90 per cent) and 3,43,788 (81.11 per cent) girls. While 3,59,703 (72.83 pc) students in urban areas passed the exam, rural students did better with 3,66,067 (74.17 pc) sailing through.
