NASA's Mars helicopter, Ingenuity opened the door to news means of exploring planets far from Earth.
The 'crazy idea' of flying on the red planet was innovated by Bob Balaram- the Chief Engineer for NASA's Mars Helicopter Project, who graduated from IIT Madras in 1980. His interest in everything space piqued when listening to the Apollo Moon landings on radio and reading about NASA and space exploration.
