MEM removes Shashi Tharoor from Palestine solidarity event

The Mahal Empowerment Mission (MEM), an organisation representing Muslim Jamaaths, has decided to exclude senior Congress leader and Thiruvananthapuram MP, Shashi Tharoor, from its upcoming Palestine solidarity event scheduled for October 30. This decision was taken following Tharoor’s recent statement at a Palestine solidarity rally organised by the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML), where he referred to the October 7 attack on Israel as a “terrorist strike.”
