Mercury hits 43.4 degrees Celsius in Delhi

Delhi continued to reel under heatwave conditions for the fourth consecutive day as the mercury hit 43.5 degrees Celsius on Tuesday.
Citing no respite from the sweltering heat, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that the conditions are expected to continue in isolated areas of Delhi and neighboring Haryana and Punjab till Thursday due to warm westerly winds and dry weather.
