MHA extends Covid containment measures till 28 February

Ministry of Home Affairs has exercised powers under Section 10(2)(1) of the Disaster Management Act 2005. This ensures compliance with the framework for taking COVID-19 containment measures at the district, local levels. This will remain in force up to 28 February 2022.

Due to the current COVID wave caused by Omicron, there has been a steady increase in the number of COVID cases.
