Mizoram shuts schools, colleges amid rising COVID-19 cases

Schools in Mizoram will be closed for students of classes 1 to 9 and class 11 amid the rise in coronavirus cases, as per the new COVID-19 guidelines issued on Friday (January 7, 2022).

Colleges, institutes of higher education and universities will also remain closed across the state, the new guidelines said. Persons with disabilities and pregnant woman employees are exempted from attending offices but are required to work from home, the guidelines said.
