More girls than boys are applying for research in STEM

There has been a rise in the number of girls applying for PhD in STEM subjects. There is a ratio of 55:45 research applications and selected students, both in favour of girls.
Girls are doing excellent in technological research as they are focused, hard-working, go to the fundamentals of the subject, have team spirit as well as good analytical and logical thinking skills.
