According to the Bar and Bench report, the Central Government is set to appoint Senior Advocate Mukul Rohatgi as the next Attorney General for India after the vacancy of Senior Advocate KK Venugopal.
When his three-year term ended in 2020, 91-year-old Venugopal had requested that he be relieved of his post citing his growing age.
