Mumbai: Covid vax beneficiaries make a beeline for antibody tests

Spike protein antibody is the new buzzword as vaccinated healthcare workers make a beeline for a blood test to check if the Covid-19 vaccine has done its job. The jury is still out on the need for these tests that detect proteins created by the immune system to fight the SARS-CoV-2 virus, but private laboratories last week started offering the tests to the general public as well.

Some healthcare workers are using the test to time the second dose of vaccination.
