Mumbai: Relief for Christians over marriage certificate

Marriage certificates issued by the church, duly stamped by the Christian Registrar of Marriages and the home department, will be considered a valid document for the purpose of name change in the Aadhaar card, PAN card, bank accounts, and passports, the Government of India (GoI) said in an announcement that comes as a relief to the Christian community.
